First, let's start with the location - for me, it ticked all the boxes; fairly centrally located making all the main sights within Kyoto a reasonably equal travel time; it's only slightly away from an arterial road, giving both the convenience of good bus stops within a short walk (the best way to get around the city), all the while avoiding the noise of the cars at night (I prefer silence); in addition to the bus stops, it's proximity to Omiya and Shijo-Omiya stations means you've got cheap local trains that go directly to Osaka and Arashiyama respectively. Now the hotel itself - it was immaculate, the staff were lovely and the added perk of two water bottles being provided in the fridge (and kept in supply by housekeeping) was a welcome bonus. As a solo traveller the room was delightfully comfortable and reminded me of university dorm rooms. I do understand why some couples may find it a little crampt for their liking, but I must point out that there is plenty of storage space under the beds so tripping over suitcases can be avoided. In summary, this hotel is a convenient base of operations for exploring the nearby areas - it represents efficiency and economical comfort, but not luxury. I'd happily return should I get the opportunity to visit Kyoto again.

Some people comment on the hotel room being very small, however it is a business hotel, it was made for sleeping and not for tourists with large suitcases (my opinion - and I was a tourist with a 23kg suitcase), in addition, in general, the hotel rooms in Japan are small. Even so, I thought it was totally worth it. The hotel is close to Omiya station - exiting via exit 3 which has an elevator to the street (but does not have an elevator from the platform to the entrance), Shijo Omiya and Shijo Horikawa are also nearby bus stations that provides access to various locations in the city. The staff is attentive, the hotel has a Yamato service to send bags to other hotels or airports. Note that for Narita airport it must be sent at least 2 days in advance. Replaces water and tea in the room and has a water filter in the lobby. There's a electric kettle to heat water. Konbini (convenience store) close by, 7Eleven and Family Mart 200m away. An observation that may be important for Westerners is that the bathroom is small, you take a shower inside the hot tub. As for cleaning, the towels are changed and the trash is removed every day, but (if I'm not mistaken) the room is vacuumed and the bathroom is cleaned every 3 days.

Excellent hotel in a great location. At a 4-minute walk, there is a main bus station and at a 5-minute walk, there is a metro station. With the bus and metro stations you can reach the city center in 10 minutes. The hotel does not have a breakfast option, but there is a refrigerator in the room, so you can buy food at the supermarket and keep it in the refrigerator or walk to a coffee store that is located 4 minutes from the hotel. The hotel is quiet, you don't hear the noise between the rooms, the hotel staff is lovely and helps with anything you need. There is an option to keep belongings in the lobby. We took an 18 square meter room and it was excellent. A clean hotel, the room is fully cleaned once every three days, and towels are changed and the trash is emptied every day. We stayed at the hotel for a week and the price was excellent. Highly recommended!

We arrived early for check in which was no problem, the staff at the front desk took our bags, gave us a number, and we were free to explore Kyoto bag-free. The staff were all lovely. The room was much more spacious than I had originally thought and it was a wonderful surprise. The bathroom was your standard bathroom unit, with amenities included such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I loved the little sitting area we had with the small couch, the coffee table and the shelving with tea and coffee and mugs on it, it didn't fee crowded in the spacious room. The beds were comfortable and the pyjamas provided were some of the most cozy I have worn in Japan thus far! Loved them! The design of the room was also very stylish and I just felt well chuffed that I managed to get such a nice room.

This is a great stay, great location and great facility with super price 👍 strongly recommend, good quality and new. The check in and check out process went smoothly, room is very clean with ok space. The bathroom is with bathtub (my favorite part) and shampoo and shower gel are all herbal smell. I forgot to bring teeth brush but you can get all including pajama in the lobby. There is a room where provides hot water, microwave and ice at first floor. Wifi is quick. My family is very satisfy with this hotel. Turn left you can go to Gion and the department store area, turn right you can go to bus stop and subway. Lots of cafe nearby and 7-11 is at the corner. If you take taxi from Kyoto station it cost around ¥1600 and it takes within 10 mins. This is a pleasant stay.
